How will Mel Trotter Ministries distribute my gift?
Mel Trotter Ministries appreciates your support and is committed to being a good steward of the resources we are given. All costs are average and include the expense of preparing and providing meals, shelter and other services. All donations will be used for board-approved programs and projects. When any need or project has been met or cannot be completed, extra funds will be used in areas of greatest need.

Is this site secure?
This site uses an HTTPS protocol to ensure your information cannot be stolen by a third party during your transaction. HTTP stands for hypertext transfer protocol, and it is the language that all web browsers speak when talking to web servers. How can I get a refund?
To request a refund, please call Mel Trotter Ministries at (616) 454-8249 or write to: Mel Trotter Ministries ~ 225 Commerce Ave. SW ~ Grand Rapids MI 49503. We will investigate your request and let you know if we are able to make a refund.

How can I stop a monthly donation?
To cancel a monthly pledge, please call Mel Trotter Ministries at (616) 454-8249 prior to the date your gift will be deducted from your checking/savings account or charged on your credit card.

Is my gift tax deductible?
Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. After the donation you can download a PDF receipt that can be used for the taxation purposes.

How can I know if an organization asking for donations is legitimate? 
Mel Trotter Ministries is a fully compliant 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Better Business Bureau provides information about the Mission and other charitable organizations. We encourage everyone to come and visit us here at the Mission. We want you to see first hand how the work we do transforms lives every day!

My company matches gifts to 501(c)(3) organizations. How does this work with donations to Mel Trotter Ministries?
Depending on your company’s procedure, we will provide verification to your employer when you complete the appropriate company paperwork and it is sent to Mel Trotter Ministries.
